WAIVER | RULES & REGULATIONS

WAIVER

I, the participant, comply to be a part of the Electi Corporate Cricket 7s League (ECC7s League) conducted by Electi Sports Consulting Pvt. Ltd. (hereby referred to as "Electi"). I understand all risks and hazards associated with the sport of cricket, incidental or otherwise. I have notified Electi of any ailment/injury I have. I waive, release, absolve, indemnify and agree to hold harmless Electi, it’s officers, directors, sponsors, supervisors, coaches, assistant coaches, referees, governors, managers and other participants and persons associated with Electi for any and all claims arising out of ailment/injury to myself while participating in any activity or event conducted by Electi, directly or indirectly. In addition, I give Electi and its representatives the right to arrange, obtain and approve any medical attention deemed necessary for my health and well-being for any injuries sustained during any Electi event or activity. I am aware that there is no insurance coverage provided by Electi and I will be held responsible for any medical expenses related to the above applicant if needed.

  1. I also agree to release, absolve and hold harmless all/any from any injury sustained while on property (field, parking area, buildings, etc.) or during travel to and from scheduled activities directly or indirectly associated with Electi. I also agree to comply with any rules/security requirements of the facilities used by Electi.

  2. I HAVE CAREFULLY READ THIS AGREEMENT AND WAIVER IN ITS ENTIRETY AND I UNDERSTAND, ACCEPT AND AGREE TO ALL THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS STATED HEREIN. IT IS UNDERSTOOD THAT THIS IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND IS A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE UNDERSIGNED AND ELECTI SPORTS CONSULTING PRIVATE LIMITED AND THAT THE CONSENT HEREIN HAS BEEN GIVEN VOLUNTARILY.

RULES

​

1. TOURNAMENT DETAILS:

  • 8-a-side format (7 Players + 1 Super Sub)

  • Maximum 7 players on the field at any time

2. OVERS:

  • Group matches: 7 overs per side.

  • Final: 7 overs per side.

3. DECISIONS:

  • The umpire’s authority and decisions are final

  • Group Stage – Match Tied:

  1. Super Over

  2. If super over is tied, Draw

Final – Match Tied:

    1. Super Over

    2. If the super over is drawn, team with fewer wickets lost wins

4. POINT SCORING & QUALIFICATION:

  • Win: 2 points | Lead after 4 overs: 1 point | Loss: 0 points

  • Team with Highest Points qualifies from the group

  • If teams are tied on points, team with better NRR qualifies

  • If NRR also same, team with fewer wickets lost qualifies

5. RUNS SCORING:

  • Fours and Sixes straight down the ground

  • Side net hit and ball hits net on end of ground: 4 runs

  • Side net direct hit on the bowlers end: 2 runs | Ball is declared dead, no run outs possible

  • If ball hits the goal post in the bowler’s end directly it will be 12 runs, if the ball hits on the bounce it will counted as 8 runs.

  • All extras to be counted: Wides, No Balls, Byes, Leg Byes

  • Overthrow runs are allowed

6. LAST MAN STANDING:

  • Last player remaining from Batting side will be able to bat

Last Man can run single run as well

7. FIELDING:

  • 7 players allowed inside field of play including bowler and keeper

  • Maximum 3 fielders allowed to be in each half of the ground.

  • Wicketkeeper is mandatory

  • No fielder allowed to stand straight behind the bowling wicket

  • Ball hitting top net counts as a bounce

8. BOWLING:

  • 7 over match: Max 2 overs per bowler

  • All no-balls will lead to free hit. A batsman can only be out run-out on free hits (not even stumped)

  • Bouncers above head will be declared as a Wide

  • 1 bouncer (above the shoulder) allowed per over. After 1 bouncer, all bouncers will be called no-balls in that over

9. SUPER OVER:

  • Each team can select any 1 over as the “Power Play Over” in their batting innings wherein the runs scored by them in that over will be doubled

  • The bowling team can choose to change the bowler after the batting team have taken the power play

  • The bowling team can wait for the batting team to decide their power play and then decide their bowler

10. GENERAL:

  • Rules are subject to change without further notice. They will be displayed at the venue on the day of the event. Every team is responsible to read the rules

  • In case of rain: Match will be restarted from where it was stopped

  • There will be a reserve day in the case of Abandonment of Play on the day because of rain.
